When S & K contacted me about their upcoming birth, and they wanted me to document it, I was elated! We met for coffee and poured over their pregnancy and birthing details. There was one detail that really grabbed my attention, their due date, December 25. Now I've been working as a birth worker for long enough to know that babies are oblivious to their due dates and they come when THEY decide. I felt confident that I would be home with my family for Christmas and excitedly took their family on.
As I always provide a maternity session as part of your birth package, this way we get to know each other better before your baby's birthday, we scheduled a session to capture that beautiful bump. It was late November and it was still warm and golden, the lake had not even frozen over yet. We took full advantage of this and headed to the beach at Lake Minnewasta.
She was radiant!! Beautiful and glowing with new life. They brought their pup, which is always a fun addition to a session, I'm a total animal lover. There was one problem however, keeping that girl out of the water. So there she was, posing in the group shots soaking wet and teeth chattering.
Dressed in a lovely red dress and adorned with a beautifully fragrant juniper crown made by the lovely Megan Hildebrand, she rocked that November beach and her beloved bump.
Thank you guys for trusting me to capture these moments!
