Autumn came so quickly and has passed just the same. The air is crisp and the days are shorter. The entrance is starting to pile with big boots, poofy coats and mittens galore. While part of me is not looking forward to the many months of cold that we will endure, I love the feeling of life slowing down, settling in and getting cozy. This past weekend brought Dad home after much too long of a time away and Nana and Papa after too many months of not hugging them. This weekend also brought sunshine and warmth. It brought impromptu dinners with friends, hockey games with the neighbours and couch acrobatics.

I wanted to share some pieces of our week and weekend. Here are some of this past weeks moments, entered into my 366 day project.

{day 12/366} My baby and her babies. She is a very nurturing Momma, feeding, bathing and singing. I love how gentle and kind she is with them, her tender heart brings me joy.

{day 14/366} "Play cars with me Momma!", "Sit aside me Momma!", "Cuddle me Momma, scratch my back!", "sing me a song, the one from when I a baby." This, girl, always reminding me to slow down.

{day 15/366} The kitchen has been cleaned, we all have moved on to other activities, except for our sweet Lennon. She remains steadfast, staring down her dinner, as she does everyday.

{day 16/366} The day is finally over, I sink into the couch with a sigh. It only lasts a moment before my big one is calling for me. I'm frustrated and exhausted, he's not feeling well. A splash in the big tub in the basement makes us both feel better.

{day 17/366} Reinforcements have arrived. Now that he's here, there's not a single other person who exists.

{day 17 cont...} When Nana and Papa tuck you in. She is not short on people who love on her, none of us are. The babies fall to sleep happy and fast. My husband is home, I squeeze him hard. The adults drink wine, tell stories, debate and laugh our asses off. We all catch up.

{day 18/366} My man and I sleep late after staying awake too long catching up, then we see Nana and Papa off. Their favourite, a pancake lunch and my favourite, a Sunday afternoon family nap. The boys head off to the dog park with Charlotte and the girls head off to the playground to run and explore and hold hands.

{day 18 cont...} Friends for dinner means that our kids are distracted. This means peaceful curry and sake for the adults.
